Many one of you are so curious about the list of oracle forums exist because you like to join a oracle forum and want to learn from the discussion. From my point of view, it is always good to be a member of a forum and take participate their regularly. In fact, this is huge benefit for gathering knowledge. You share your ideas, other people also share their ideas and your concepts become clear. Along the oracle you must have some knowledge about operating system as well as shell script concept to get a better job. So it is good to join a forum which is a combination of these IT stuffs.
I like to present a list of oracle forums in the Internet that I am aware of. Note that all these forums may not be good.
1)Arju On IT Oracle Forum: I am the owner of the forum. I take regular participation over there and like to answer every unanswered post. Along with oracle it also contains Unix, Windows, Shell script, Hardware, Software, even Web developing section. I recommend you to join my forum and share your ideas with people. Here is the link of my Oracle Forum.
2)Oracle Forum: The official oracle forum is http://forums.oracle.com. You can find there all about oracle products which you don't have interest. Becuase you might not have interest on Oracle Business Intelligence product. In pick time you may got many people there, but in offpick time you may need to wait for a answer.
3)Orafaq Forum: Orafaq forum. The forum that I passed most of the time. Link is http://orafaq.com/forum. Also windows, unix section are there. Michael Cadot is a regular contributor there.
4)Club Oracle Forum: The forum that I participate sometimes. The link is http://club-oracle.com.
5)Oracle DBA forum: A forum of Burleson. There are many critics of him. Here is his forum link http://dbaforums.org/oracle/index.php.
6)Tech Tips forum: I have a little idea about the forum. Here is their link http://www.tek-tips.com/threadminder.cfm?pid=1177.
There may have thousands of oracle forum in the Internet. But I see most of them just exist for few days because I don't see regular contribution of people. If I am missing any oracle forum that you see useful then please add the forum with as a comment section.

Earning money writing Articles about India
I already have several articles about how to earn money through online. There are many ways, believe me many ways to earn money through Internet. You can earn money through advertisement inside your site as is shown in Make money online for free. Also you can earn money from freelancing site as well as writing contents.
This post is the way of how to earn money by writing contents.
If you are Indian, have free time and decent English, you can make money writing articles for many sites that pay you for writing articles. It may an Indian squidoo like site. But you should probably choose any much better organized and with higher quality content. In fact, you can choose the site related to about.com and ehow. There are many web 2.0 user generated contents which are nothing but low quality spam, specially hubpages where lot of Indians hang out.
I have always felt that net lacked a site fully dedicated to India where you can find all information about India including how to and what is kind of type. There is yahoo answers and ibibo sawaal but they are not moderated and content is spread to thin. As far as sites are concerned, all of them are small and spammy with very little quality and value.
With a quick look at ekikrat, it looks that they have mainly focused on niches which Indians mostly search, education and bollywood. I can also see Indian railways related content on front page and looking at other recent added pages they are adding content in other verticals too.
I am not sure about how all of the article posting sites pay to screen writers and what is the payment structure, if I get time probably I will look into more detail of it.
The only bad thing about the any article writing site specially some Indian sites is the content is not properly organized and the navigation is not good, so you need to either go through all articles or use search. I wish they provide a better home page too. Though I hope one of my team member can register to the site, as soon as he inform me more experience with you, I will update the post with more information and let you know more about it.
To increase your page rank you can also submit your site links with text/topics to several websites and thus increase backlinks to your site. Like you can go to ezine.
Choose an category from there, write articles there, earn money from them as well as bring traffic to your site using backlinks.

Draw google adsense money using western union
Now a day, I think almost all of the users have heard the name of google adsense or at least internet/on line advertisement. Out of the online advertisement network google adsense is at number 1. Most of the publishers use adsense ad code to earn their advertisement revenue.
Up to this it is fine. You are earning some money per month just by displaying ads on your site. But the major problem is how you draw money from adsense. If you are from USA then it is good. Within few days you will get the check and make it money. Also electronic fund transfer (EFT) also available there.
But I live in Bangladesh. In fact it is a great problem if you want to draw money from Bangladesh. According to adsense rule, if your advertisement revenue reaches $100 before/at the end of any month then they will send your payment before the end of the following month. Of course this is true if you have no holds on your account. Holds may be that - you manually hold your account or you did not receive/verify pin number. If you are in USA, you did not fill up tax information etc. Suppose if your account balance reaches the payment threshold during May, google will send you a payment at the end of June.
Normally google issue check to you between 21 to 29 of the month. However, google says in case of Standard delivery checks (which is the only option in this continent) check arrive within 1-2 weeks of the mailing date if you are inside USA. If you are outside USA then typically it would arrive in 2-3 weeks. But this is not the case always. Most of the time checks does not appear even after two months. What you do using their form you reissue check and at also need another 1 month. It may happen that after 5 months you get the check. And then you need to submit the check to a bank, bank may pass another 1 month to give you money! It is a great problem of drawing money from adsense and still it is not fixed in Bangladesh.
But a good news is that google now supports draw money through western union through different countries. Up to now (as of July 03, 2009) google supports following countries to send money using western union.
* Argentina
* Barbados
* Bolivia
* Bulgaria
* Chile
* China (Mainland)
* Colombia
* Dominican Republic
* Egypt
* Guatemala
* Indonesia
* Lithuania
* Malaysia
* Morocco
* Nepal
* Pakistan
* Panama
* Peru
* Philippines
* Romania
* Taiwan
* Uruguay
* Vietnam
If you use western union the time needed to draw money is dramatically reduced. Within a day you can get back your money! Just go to bank with your ID card(May be a national card, passport, office ID card, SSC/HSC registration copy or any other attested copy which contains photo of you) and fill up a form with MTCN number(google will mail you about Money Transfer Control Number) and then you will get your money. Though western union now only support individuals not company. But as most of the users are individual so a great help for the publishers. The country list to send money through western union is increased every month and we expect in Bangladesh it will arrive soon. So adsense users don't be disappointed. Do fair use of your account and you will be able to draw money in one day.

Google chrome problems -Checkbox and Radio button does not show
I have been using google chrome browser for more than 4 months. Google chrome is my first choice because to need a webpage I need minimal mouse/keyboard interaction. But from yesterday I puzzled while using google chrome. Today's date is July, 02, 2009 and I am using google chrome version 2.0.172.33.
The problem I am facing is, google chrome does not show up check boxes and radio button as well as in the drop down menu arrow sign is not displayed. So, whenever I need to select any check boxes or radio button from a site in fact it looks something odd to me. Just like a blind man either I have to click mouse around check boxes or by pressing tab keyword and then select the boxes/button by pressing space bar.
Till now the problem remains. But there are some workarounds by which you can solve the problems until google solve the chrome bug.
1)Restart the machine. After you starting start google chrome you will see they are shown properly. But restarting may be ridiculous while you are doing many jobs and you have many windows open at a time.
2)Keep your chrome window open.
Close any firefox/ internet explorer.
Just open firefox/internet explorer and close them.
Return to chrome window and if you move mouse around check boxes/radio button they will be displayed. For any new pages they would be displayed nice.
If you want to recreate problem then while keep opening google chrome open firefox/IE. Keep firefox window opens and problem will start. Whenever you close firefox/IE window problem will go away.
3)Some interesting observation is that, if you change the view in gmail from standard to basic html or from older version to newer version then it solve the problem. However if you again open a firefox window then problem again start and if again you change the gmail window from basic html to newer version or vice versa then it avoids problem.
4)A faster way to do solve the problem is right click on the task bar select properties and then select cancel. Now you will see your radio button, check boxes are appeared.
5)In Windows XP,
Right-click My Computer,
Select Properties,
Go to Advanced tab,
Select Performance Settings,
Under Visual Effect select "Use Visual Styles on windows and buttons."
And then click apply.
6)Just open task manager window and close it. That will solve the problem.
By pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL or right click on task bar then select Task Manager or by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+ESC you can bring Task manger. I saw that this option does not reproduce problem. But it only fix for open window.
Out of the above workarounds it seems to me that number 6 is the best option to avoid the problem because it needs less time to open a task manager and most important is
it does not reproduce problem. At least I could not do it at first glace.

While startup ORA-27046: file size is not a multiple of logical block size
Problem Description
While creating pfile from your spfile you got the following ORA-27046. Though the error message that it shows depends on oracle version.
In Oracle 11g the error message look like,
SQL> create pfile from spfile;
create pfile from spfile
*
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-01565: error in identifying file
'%ORACLE_HOME%\DATABASE\SPFILE%ORACLE_SID%.ORA'
ORA-27046: file size is not a multiple of logical block size
OSD-04012: file size mismatch (OS 911)
In Oracle 10g the error message looks like,
SQL> create pfile from spfile;
create pfile from spfile
*
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-27046: file size is not a multiple of logical block size
OSD-04012: file size mismatch (OS 3583)
In Oracle 9.2 the error message looks like,
SQL> create pfile='init.ora' from spfile='/oracle/oradata/product/spfileprod.ora';
create pfile='init.ora' from spfile='/oracle/oradata/product/spfileprod.ora'
*
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-27046: file size is not a multiple of logical block size
Additional information: 1
Additional information: 254
Cause of the Problem
Oracle database finds a spfile in the desired location but it was not able to read the file as the server parameter file was corrupted. If you try to create a pfile from a corrupted spfile then ORA-27046 error occurs. In the same way, if your database spfile with it's default name, found in default location which refer on windows under %ORACLE_HOME%\database, on unix under $ORACLE_HOME/dbs and your spfile is corrupted and then if you issue startup Oracle can report a ORA-1078.
Solution of the problem
It is simple to understand that there is no way the spfile can be repaired or modified manually because spfile is a binary file. To know more about spfile have a look at Pfile and Spfile in Oracle.
So now the solution is to restore a spfile from backup, or recreate a new spfile.
If a SPFILE backup exists, restore it to the original location. The backup could be a copy of the spfile or from a RMAN backup. How you can restore it from RMAN is discussed in Restore SPfile from RMAN and Restore an Spfile from Autobackup.
However if the spfile backup does not exist, one can use an existing pfile or the list of non-default parameters listed in the alert log at startup time, or one can also get the parameters from the corrupted spfile using utilities like strings available on unix, similar utilities can be found for Windows as well. On windows you can simply open the file using notepad ++ or ultra edit and copy readable part of the corrupted spfile and save it as a pfile.
After that using the SQL command CREATE SPFILE FROM PFILE create a spfile from the pfile.
A detail about the procedure is discussed inside solution part of the post
Different ways to discover spfile.
In unix simply,
$ strings spfile$ORACLE_SID.ora init$ORACLE_SID.ora
where $ORACLE_SID will be replaced by your oracle sid.
SQL> conn / as sysdba
SQL> create spfile from pfile ;
Will create a good spfile.
After you create spfile now you are done. You can startup your database as well as you can create as many pfile from spfile as you wish.

How to know which objects are being accessed by a user
You can track what users are doing currently in the database. You can get the object name as well as the operating system user name, the host name, the type of objects they are accessing and many more.
Below is the query. You can query from more columns if you like. Also to run the query you need access to the v$access and v$session view.
In the example I have shown what user TEST1 and TEST2 is doing in the database.

USB Flash drive Reviews.
The term USB means Universal Serial Bus. As the name Serial Bus indicates USB is a standard to send data one bit at a time, which means it communicates via serial communication or in other word data is send sequentially. USB can connect computer peripherals such as mice, keyboards, PDAs, joysticks, scanners, digital cameras, printers, modems, mobile phones, personal media players, bluetooth devices, flash drives, as well as external hard drives. Now all USB drives become so popular and almost all new computers have more than one USB port.
Out of USB drives the flash drive or keychain drive or also called jump drive is a plug-and-play portable storage device. In this country (Bangladesh) we call it pen drive. USB flash drive allows hot swapping after we attach it to any computer we don't need reboot the machine. Without reboot we can work with it. Unlike other removable storage USA flash drive does not require batteries or an external power supply. It also is not platform dependent. With data transfer and storing facility many manufacturers offer various types of function such as password protection, and downloadable drivers that allow the device to be compatible with older systems that do not have USB ports.
USB flash drives become very much popular device now a days because of it's
1)Storage capacity- which allows 64M to 128G data stored capacity.
2)Cheaper- think about why we don't use floopy drive. With storing capacity of 1.44M floppy drive how much we would need to pay to get 1G space and how much space in our room they would occupied? Simply a 25 gram weighted flash drive can do full fill everything.
3)Faster- Pen drive is much faster than Floppy drive, CD.
4)Durable- Many companies offers life time warranty of flash drive unlike hard disk or any other storages.
Most flash drives ship preformatted with the FAT or FAT 32 file system unlike hard disk which comes as RAW partitions. The reason to ship with FAT or FAT32 is because of the ubiquity of these file systems. These file system allows the drive to be accessed on virtually any host device with USB support.
Whenever you compare between two USB drives then it comes several aspects.
1)Product Features: This usually refers to the read and write speeds of the USB drives in addition to other features, such as a retractable USB connector or swivel cap, whether the device is water resistant and whether it comes with accessories.
2)Included Software: Which software usually comes with the USA flash drive. It may be security programs, sync tools and virtual application platforms.
3)Value: To measure the value of a USB drive take into account the price of the flash drive compared to how much storage space it offers.
4)Warranty/Support: Many people rely on this feature. In fact I myself always look for it. Many manufacturers offer life time warranty for their flash drives.
5)Size/Design: Many USB flash/jump drives come with attractive design. You can choose them if you want look and feel to be good.
You can also get your custom flash/jump drive. You can see many sites that offer custom jump drive and through them you can make a custom drive for your requirement and look and feel.

Debit Card, Credit Card, ATM Card, Charge Card
Debit Card:
---------------------
A Debit card provides an alternative payment method to cash when making purchases. Its functionality is more similar to writing a cheque as the funds are withdrawn directly from either the bank account (often referred to as a cheque card), or from the remaining balance on the card.
In some countries the debit card is multipurpose, acting as the ATM card for withdrawing cash and as a check guarantee card. Merchants can also offer "cashback"/"cashout" facilities to customers, where a customer can withdraw cash along with their purchase.
Credit Card:
----------------------
A credit card is a system of payment issued to users of the system. In the case of credit cards, the issuer lends money to the consumer (or the user) to be paid later to the merchant. It is different from a charge card, which requires the balance to be paid in full each month. In contrast, a credit card allows the consumer to 'revolve' their balance, at the cost of having interest charged.
For consumers, the difference between a "debit card" and a "credit card" is that the former immediately deducts the balance from a checking or savings account, whereas in the case of creadit card it allows the consumer to spend money they might not actually have (but promise to pay later to the card-issuing bank).

Many companies offer credit cards and you can apply credit cards online. It can be categorized to into student credit cards, bad credit credit card, and secured cards. From google you can see many sites that do Credit Card Offers.
ATM Card:
---------------
An ATM card (also known as a bank card, client card, key card or cash card.
It can be used:
-at an ATM for deposits, withdrawals, account information, and other types of transactions, often through interbank networks
Some ATM cards can also be used:
-at a branch, as identification for in-person transactions
-at merchants, for EFTPOS (point of sale) purchases
Unlike a debit card, in-store purchases or refunds with an ATM card can generally be made in person only, as they require authentication through a personal identification number or PIN. In other words, ATM cards cannot be used at merchants that only accept credit cards.
However, other types of transactions through telephone or online banking may be performed with an ATM card without in-person authentication. This includes account balance inquiries, electronic bill payments or in some cases, online purchases.
In countries that don't have distinct debit cards (pure ATM cards without debit card function), such as Canada, an ATM card is also known as a "debit card".
Charge Card:
------------------
A charge card is a means of obtaining a very short term (usually around 1 month) loan for a purchase. It is similar to a credit card, except that the contract with the card issuer requires that the card holder must each month pay charges made to it in full -- there is no "minimum payment" other than the full balance. Since there is no loan, there is no official interest. A partial payment (or no payment) results in a severe late fee (as much as 5% of the balance) and the possible restriction of future transactions and risk of potential cancellation of the card.

An example of ORA-01536 when quota exhaust on dependent objects
I am inspired to write this topic after getting a post inside the forum http://arju-on-it.com/blog/forum/server-administration/ora-01536-space-quota-exceeded-for-tablespace-mon_tbs.
In the example I have shown the reason why ORA-01536: space quota exceeded for tablespace error comes.
In this post I will give you the example when ORA-01536 occurs due to the dependent object on the table.
1)Create user test1 and grant unlimited quotes on default tablespace.
SQL> create user test1 identified by t default tablespace users;
User created.
SQL> grant create session, create table to test1;
Grant succeeded.
SQL> alter user test1 quota unlimited on users;
User altered.
2)Create user test2 and grant 1M quota.
SQL> create user test2 identified by t default tablespace users;
User created.
SQL> grant create session, create table, create trigger to test2;
Grant succeeded.
SQL> alter user test2 quota 1M on users;
User altered.
3)Create a table inside test1 schema.
SQL> conn test1/t
Connected.
SQL> create table tab1 as select level a1, level a2 from dual connect by level <10;
Table created.
SQL> conn test2/t
Connected.
SQL> create table tab1 as select level a1, level a2 from dual connect by level <1;
Table created.
SQL> conn test1/t
Connected.
SQL> grant select on tab1 to test2;
Grant succeeded.
5)Create a trigger inside test2 schema which inserts based on test1 insert.
SQL> conn / as sysdba
Connected.
SQL> create or replace trigger test2.t after insert on test1.tab1
2 begin
3 insert into test2.tab1 select * from test1.tab1;
4 end;
5 /
Trigger created.
6)Connect to test1 and insert more rows.
SQL> conn test1/t
Connected.
SQL> insert into tab1 select level a1, level a2 from dual connect by level <100;
99 rows created.
SQL> insert into tab1 select level a1, level a2 from dual connect by level <10000;
9999 rows created.
SQL> insert into tab1 select level a1, level a2 from dual connect by level <100000;
insert into tab1 select level a1, level a2 from dual connect by level <100000

ORA-01536: space quota exceeded for tablespace 'USERS'
ORA-06512: at "TEST2.T", line 2
ORA-04088: error during execution of trigger 'TEST2.T'
7)Log on as dba user and check for dependent objects. Grant quota of the owner of the dependent objects tablespaces.
SQL> conn / as sysdba
Connected.
SQL> select NAME,TYPE, OWNER from dba_dependencies where REFERENCED_NAME='TAB1' AND
2 REFERENCED_OWNER='TEST1';
NAME TYPE OWNER

How to add a word or letter at the end of each line in shell script
Let's use student.txt as below and now we want to add "Std_ID;" on each line in the student.txt of course without double quote.
$ cat student.txt
024434
022403
021437
1)Using sed -i:
$ sed -i 's/$/ Std_ID;/' student.txt
The s means substitute
The $ in this particular regex (regular expression) means end of the line.
The " Std_ID;" is the substituting word.
$ cat student.txt
024434 Std_ID;
022403 Std_ID;
021437 Std_ID;
2)Simple sed command.
$ cat student.txt
024434
022403
021437
$ sed 's/.*/& Std_ID;/' student.txt
024434 Std_ID;
022403 Std_ID;
021437 Std_ID;
3)Using awk:
$ cat std.txt
024434 Std ID
022403 Std ID
021437 Std ID
$ awk '{print $0," Std_ID;"}' student.txt>std.txt
$ cat std.txt
024434 Std_ID;
022403 Std_ID;
021437 Std_ID;
